Changing the Culture
After many years as an agency required simply to determine eligibility of applicants and to deliver those services mandated by law, the Human Services Agency is now charged with the responsibility of assisting people in their efforts to move from a position of dependency to one of self-reliance.
HSA accepted the challenge.
Recognizing that the key to the success of our programs and therefore our clients rested in our ability to form linkages with community-based organizations and other agencies, HSA staff began the process of expanding networks, partnerships, and collaborations, which has resulted in a comprehensive approach to meeting the needs of our clients.
Today, HSA is a community leader in the development of successful programs that effect change in the lives of our clients.
Improving the quality of life...
Ultimately, the success of reaching our goal to improve the quality of life for our community can be measured only on a personal level by ensuring that the needs of each individual client are met.
The next few years will see the results of more collaborations, more partnerships, and an even greater commitment to being a significant contributor to the improvement of the quality of life in San Joaquin County.
