Employee Housing Inspections
This program is established to ensure compliance with minimum standards of habitation for labor camps as specified in the State Employee Housing Act. Facilities that house five or more agricultural workers are inspected prior to and during occupancy on a routine and complaint basis. The State Department of Housing and Community Development audits the EHD inspection program annually to verify that all employee housing facilities meet the minimum standards of the law.
