Recreational Health
Inspections
The purpose of this program is to assure that all public
recreational waters, swimming pools and spas are free of
safety hazards, disease and life threatening occurrences.
This is accomplished by enforcement of laws and regulations
relating to the design, construction and maintenance of pool
facilities. Routine inspections are performed at public
swimming pools, spas and natural bathing areas in the
county. The EHD reviews and approves plans for proposed
public swimming pools, spas and water parks and conducts construction inspections.
