Inspections
The EHD is the State approved Milk Inspection Service Agency for San Joaquin County. Responsibility for inspection and quality control for dairy farm sanitation and milk grading is delegated by the State Department of Food and Agriculture. Dairies producing market and manufacturing milk are
officially inspected two times per year for sanitation and
routine milk samples for quality control are collected every
five to six weeks.
