Consent Item:                    #9 – In response to Chairman Vogel, Public Works Chief Deputy Director Tom Gau explained the use of right-of-way and specifics of the agreement between San Joaquin County and the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District.  Currently Thornton does not have a source of utilization for community services like this.  Mike O’Conner of Thornton addressed the Board on this matter.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Ornellas informed the Board that the East Altamont Energy Center, LLC filed a petition with the California Energy Commission requesting an extension to the start of construction date for the East Altamont Center Project.  The project is located in Alameda County, east of Mt. House.  Supervisor Ornellas proposed that the County send a letter to the California Energy Commission opposing an extension.  County Counsel stated that this should be done through the Community Development Department.
