BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

REORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2007 AT 11:00 A.M.

11:00 a.m. Chairman Mow called the meeting to order.

The Invocation was given by Pastor Glen Barnes of the First Baptist Church, Lodi.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chairman Mow.

Roll Call: VOGEL, RUHSTALLER, ORNELLAS, GUTIERREZ AND CHAIRMAN MOW.

Chairman Mow thanked everyone for being in attendance and stated that the Board Members are privileged to serve the people of San Joaquin County. He commented on the challenges that our county will be facing in the future and he reflected on his chairmanship in 2007.

Supervisor Gutierrez thanked and complimented Chairman Mow for his leadership in 2007.

Supervisor Ornellas also thanked Chairman Mow for his no-nonsense approach to County government.

Supervisor Gutierrez made a motion to elect Supervisor Vogel as Chairman and Supervisor Ornellas as Vice Chairman. Gutierrez/Ruhstaller/5 B-08-1

Incoming Chairman Vogel introduced his wife, son and former Supervisor Jack Sieglock who were in attendance. Chairman Vogel presented prepared remarks.

On behalf of the Board, Chairman Vogel presented Supervisor Mow with a plaque for his service as 2007 Chairman.

The Benediction was given by Reverend Dwight Williams of the New Bethel Baptist Church, Stockton.
