BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND
COMMENTS
Supervisor Ruhstaller reported that he had received a letter from the
Chancellor of U.C. Merced thanking him for visiting the campus. He also received a letter from the Cultural
Heritage Board regarding historical information plaques for the new
Board of Supervisors Questions and Comments (continued)
Supervisor Gutierrez stated that Supervisor Ruhstaller informed him of a
meeting he had with the Purchasing Department regarding “green”
purchasing. He emphasized that he too
would support “green” purchasing and would advocate a policy adopted by the
Board to go “green”. If the Board were
to adopt a policy, he would be in favor of recognizing those departments that
followed the policy. Supervisor
Gutierrez stated that
Supervisor Gutierrez said that he and Supervisor Vogel have been talking
with the Hunger Task Force Committee regarding a walk-in freezer for the
