COMMENT
Woody Alspaugh
addressed the Board regarding the District Attorney’s Office and the County’s
website.
Cary Martin informed
the Board that the Behavioral Health Board had toured the jail. He referred to an article in The Record
regarding the
ToCan Nguyen addressed
the Board on various matters.
BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
Supervisor Gutierrez stated that he concurred with comments made by Cary
Martin and Supervisor Ruhstaller regarding the combining of the Substance Abuse
and Behavioral Health programs. Supervisor
Gutierrez reported on the Stagg Youth Component pilot project. He is planning to bring back a written report
to the Board.
Supervisor Vogel stated
that he is very supportive of Supervisor Gutierrez and wants to hear more about
the Stagg Youth Component pilot project.
He also informed the Board that with respect to the Armstrong corridor,

Chairman Mow stated
that he hopes staff is involved with committee reports to the Board. He said that it would be equally important to
hear from Behavioral Health Director Vic Singh as well as Cary Martin. Chairman Mow further stated that he would
like to have a Hospital Ad Hoc Committee comprised of himself and one other
Board Member to work with the Health Care Services Director Ken Cohen and the
Camden Group.
Supervisor Ruhstaller
commented that the Behavioral Health Board is state-mandated and they are to
report directly to the Board of Supervisors according to their charter. Behavioral Health Director Vic Singh attends
all of their meetings. Supervisor
Ruhstaller said that he would be happy to serve on the Hospital Ad Hoc
Committee but would defer to Supervisor Gutierrez if he wanted to serve. Supervisor Gutierrez suggested that either
Supervisor Vogel or Supervisor Ornellas serve on this committee.
