Lopez responded to Chairman Mow’s question regarding the facilities that would
be vacated after the various departments moved into the new
#20 – Chairman Mow commented on the importance of this item in the County’s commitment in addressing the issues of economic development and job creation. In response to Chairman Mow County Administrator Manuel Lopez and John Solis, Director of Employment and Economic Development Department Director John Solis explained the process and gave a presentation on the County’s Application for a California Enterprise Zone Designation.

Supervisor Ornellas reported on the Homeless Veterans Standown held on
Friday, October 26, 2007.
Supervisor Gutierrez reported on the League of United Latin American
Citizens (LULAC) Youth Leadership event held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at
Supervisor Vogel complimented Supervisor Ornellas, Judge Kronlund and
Legislative Assistant Scott Tyrrell on the Homeless Veterans Standown.
Supervisor Ruhstaller reported on the bus tour to U.C. Merced. He also reported on his visit to University
of the Pacific and their plans of a pilot project to redo the
