9:00 a.m. - bos - Recognition of Deborah S. Hench, Retired Registrar of Voters.  On behalf of the Board Chairman Mow presented Deborah Hench with a plaque.  She addressed the Board and thanked her staff and the Board of Supervisors for their support.

COMMUNICATIONS

There were no Board communications.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Dr. Hillary Silver, a Psychiatrist at San Joaquin Mental Health, and Thomas McNett, a Physician at San Joaquin General Hospital, read into the record a letter dated July 24, 2007 from the members of the medical staff of San Joaquin County to the Board of Supervisors.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Ornellas informed the Board that the Site 300 location near Tracy did not make the final cut on the Agriculture Bio Lab that was being considered.

Chairman Mow stated that he had attended a memorial for Waldo Holt.  Mr. Holt was a significant part of the community, particularly in environmental and conservation matters in the valley.  Chairman Mow requested the Board adjourn the meeting of July 24, 2007 in memory of Mr. Holt.
