Presentation of Proclamation Proclaiming June 3--June 9, 2007 as "Hunger
Awareness Week" in San Joaquin County. Supervisor Gutierrez read and
presented the proclamation to Joe Chelli, Director of the Human Services
Agency, who accepted it on behalf of the Emergency Food Bank. Mr. Chelli addressed the Board.

Emergency Medical Care Committee; (3) Dissolve the Public Health Advisory Board
and direct staff to return to the Board with a recommendation, if possible, to
roll the interested parties into an existing related advisory committee; (4)
Direct the Clerk of the Board to begin the process of reviewing all advisory
boards with the format utilized during the review of the boards and
commissions; and (5) Approve the remainder of the consent items. Supervisor Ruhstaller seconded the

PUBLIC COMMENT
Deputy District Attorney
Richard Green, President of the Deputy District Attorney’s Association and a
member of the Attorneys Association of San Joaquin County, addressed the
Board. He stated that the Attorneys Association
is their labor organization that is currently bargaining with the County. Mr. Green reported that the status of the
negotiations is that they are presently at impasse.
Deputy District Attorney
Seth Hoyt, assigned to the District Attorney’s Homicide Gang Unit, and President
of San Joaquin Attorney’s Association, also addressed the Board regarding the
negotiations.

OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
Supervisor Gutierrez reported on FEMA and provisional accredited
levees. He read a communication from
Steve Winkler of Public Works regarding provisional accredited levee
agreements.
