PRESENTATIONS

9:00 a.m. - bos - Proclamation Proclaiming May 20--May 26, 2007 as "National Public Works Week" in San Joaquin County.  Supervisor Ken Vogel presented the proclamation to Jeff Pelz, President of the Sacramento Chapter of the American Public Works Association.  Mr. Pelz indicated that their chapter would be honoring Paul Sensibaugh as Local Public Works Leader of the Year and Manuel Solario as Professional Manager of the Year in Engineering and Technology at an Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 17, 2007.  Public Works Director Tom Flinn recognized two San Joaquin County Public Works Employees for 2006 – John Robles, Engineering Assistant, Field Engineering Division and Carla Corvey, Administrative Assistant, Road Maintenance Division.

9:00 a.m. - bos - Proclamation Proclaiming May 14--18, 2007 as "Juror Appreciation Week" in San Joaquin County.  Supervisor Steve Gutierrez presented the proclamation to Judge Richard Guiliani, Presiding Judge of Superior Court.  Judge Guiliani addressed the Board.

9:00 a.m. - bos - Proclamation Proclaiming the Month of May 2007 as "National Donate Life Month" in San Joaquin County.  Supervisor Larry Ruhstaller presented the proclamation to Karen Knight-Frank, R.N., Clinical Nurse Specialist, Critical Care, at San Joaquin General Hospital.  Ms. Knight addressed the Board.

 

9:00 a.m. - bos - Proclamation Proclaiming the Month of May 2007 as "Mental Health Month" in San Joaquin County. Supervisor Leroy Ornellas presented the proclamation to Bruce Hopperstad, Director of Behaviorial Health Services.  Cheryl Torres and Patrick Miller, Consumer Represenatives of the Power and Support Self-Help Team, and Jennie Montoya representing the National Alliance on Mental Illness addressed the Board.

 

Supervisor Ornellas stated that on Saturday, May 12, he had attended a meeting with   Congressman McNerney at Mountain House.  Congressman McNerney recognized Mountain House having reached its 1000 registered voter with a certificate.  Supervisor Ornellas presented Paul Sensibaugh with the Congressional Certificate. 

9:00 a.m. - bos -  Recognition of Paul M. Seinsbaugh, General Manager of Mountain House Community Services District, Receiving the American Public Works Association Sacramento Chapter's 2007 Public Works Leader of the Year Award.  Chairman Victor Mow presented the Board of Supervisors Certificate of Recognition to Paul M. Sensibaugh.  Mr. Sensibaugh addressed the Board.

9:00 a.m. - cdd/neigh/pres - Public Hearing on Recommended San Joaquin County 2007/2008 Consolidated Annual Plan, and Amendments to the 2005-2010 Consolidated Plan.
