Industries Program Manager, Upholstery Shop, San Joaquin County Jail, Receiving
the 2007 Upholsterer of the Year Award from Upholstery Journal. Sheriff Steve Moore and Chairman Mow
presented Terry Henson with a Certificate of Recognition. Lucile Denant, Representing Assemblyman Greg
Agazarian’s Office, presented a Certificate of Recognition on behalf of the
California Assembly. Terry Henson
addressed the Board. Supervisor
Gutierrez commented on the program and finding more space to expand the
program.

Consent Item: #2 – Chairman Mow requested Health Care Services Director Ken Cohen to give background information on this matter, and costs involved in the process.

that he was pleased to see that the Flag city folks and the City of

Consent Items: #11 & 12 – Supervisor Ruhstaller thanked Food 4 Less and Centro mart for their donations for Select San Joaquin. He also thanked Supervisor Gutierrez for using funds from his Supervisorial District 1 Special Projects Fund and suggested that it would be a good gesture for all Board Members to contribute to the Select San Joaquin Program.
Consent Item: #19 – Supervisor Gutierrez commented on the Downtown Alliance and that he supported the renewal and expansion. In response to Supervisor Ornellas, Supervisor described the parameters of the Downtown Stockton Management District. Chairman Mow stated that equally important is that this is a cost saving to the County in terms of maintenance.

Consent Item; #10 – Airport Director Barry Rondinella, briefed the Board on this matter. Supervisor Ruhstaller made a motion and Supervisor Ornellas seconded the motion that the Board not award the contract and that the $3 million that was advanced to the Airport Enterprise Fund be returned to the Contingency Reserves, and that the $800,000 given to the Airport for Customs and Border Protection Staffing in last year’s budget be returned to the General Fund.
