BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

REORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

JANUARY 8, 2007 AT 11:00 AM,

11:00 a.m.        Chairman Marenco called the meeting to order.

The Invocation was given by Reverend Wm. David Hanley.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Supervisor Gutierrez.

Roll Call:          Present were Supervisors Ornellas, Mow, Sieglock, Gutierrez and Chairman Marenco.

Supervisor Sieglock commented on his years of service as a Board Member.  He introduced his  family that were in attendance.  Supervisor Sieglock thanked the Board Members, his Legislative Assistant Denise Warmerdam, County Administrator Manuel Lopez, County Counsel Terrence Dermody, Clerk of the Board Lois Sahyoun and her staff, County Department Heads and Bob Heidelbach and his supporters.  He recognized Assemblyman Alan Nakanishi, Steve Moore, Jim Willett, Ken Vogel and Larry Ruhstaller.

Chairman Dario Marenco relected on his twelve years of service as a Board Member.  He thanked staff, his family, his former Legislative Assistant Joanne White, Supervisor Gutierrez and his Legislative Assistant Carlos Villapudua.

On behalf of the Board, Vice Chairman Mow presented Chairman Marenco with a plaque for his year as Chairman.  Vice Chairman Mow commented on Chairman Marenco’s 12 years of service to San Joaquin County.

Larry Ruhstaller was sworn into office as County Supervisor for the Second District by The Honorable Consuelo Callahan, U.S. Circuit Judge. 

Ken Vogel was sworn into office as County Supervisor for the Fourth District by The Honorable Alan Nakanishi, Assembly Member – 10th District. 

Supervisor Mow was elected as Chairman of the Board.  Gutierrez/Ornellas/5                           B-07-01

Remarks were made by incoming Chairman Mow.

On behalf of the Board, Supervisors Ruhstaller and Vogel presented out-going Board Members  Dario Marenco and Jack Sieglock with a plaque.

Supervisors Gutierrez and Ornellas made presentations to out-going Board Members Dario Marenco and Jack Sieglock.

The Benediction was given by Reverend Jola Bortner.
