PRESENTATIONS

      9:00 a.m. - bos - Proclamation Proclaiming November, 2006 as "Court Adoption and Permanency Month" in San Joaquin County.  Chairman Marenco presented the proclamation to David Erb, Deputy Director, Children Services, Human Services Agency.  Mr. Erb addressed the Board and introduced staff of the Children Services who were in attendance. 

9:00 a.m. - bos - Proclamation Proclaiming November, 2006 as "National Prematurity Awareness Month" in San Joaquin County.  Chairman Marenco presented the proclamation to Marianne Hernandez, Supervising Public Health Nurse of Public Health Services.  Ms. Hernandez addressed the Board.   Michelle Cordova, Department Manager of Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, of San Joaquin General Hospital was also present.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Elizabeth Campbell stated that she had requested airport lease agreements from the County Administrator’s Office on October 9, 2006 and to date had not received any information.    County Administrator Manuel Lopez said that the information had been provided to Georgianna Reichelt.  He indicated that he would also provide Ms. Campbell the same information. 

ToCan Nguyen addressed the Board on various matters.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Sieglock stated that he had recently attended a Woodbridge Municipal Advisory Council Meeting.  He thanked Facilities Management Director Craig Ogata and his staff for assisting in the problems with the wilderness area in Woodbridge.

Board of Supervisors Questions and Comments (continued)

Supervisor Gutierrez stated that he had submitted a request to Facilities Management Director Craig Ogata regarding needed improvements at parks where community centers are located.

Supervisor Gutierrez  reported on the issues at Boggs Tract and thanked the various departments in working together to resolve the problems with regard to gangs in that area.

 Lastly, Supervisor Gutierrez stated that he has talked with the County Administrator, Facilities Management Director and Purchasing on how the air condition unit at Boggs Tract can be protected from being stolen.
