BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Ornellas reported on a meeting regarding illegal dumping that he had on June 30 that included staff from community Development, Environmental Health, the Sheriff’s Office and Public Works.  They are at the point of gathering information and learned that Sacramento County and the State of California are working on some kind of program.  He will keep the Board informed on any future developments.

Supervisor Gutierrez stated that the community centers have had problems with illegal dumping in the community center dumpsters.

Supervisor Gutierrez reported on a meeting in his district with an organization called Coalition United for Families regarding emergency medical response.  Supervisor Gutierrez made it clear to those in attendance that he would not answer any questions due to litigation.  However, he asked that their questions be recorded.  EMS Administrator Dan Burch also attended the meeting to make sure that he understood the questions so that he could obtain further clarification of the questions if needed.  The meeting was recorded and the whole meeting is going to be transcribed.  Supervisor Gutierrez had requested that Mr. Burch take the information and meet with County Counsel to determine whether the information could be given to his constituents and shared with the Board without compromising litigation.

There was no Closed Session.
