Supervisor Sieglock said that he has been the Board’s representative on the American River Authority for the past seven and one-half years and that the American River Authority is ultimately about the Auburn Dam.  There have been no decisions to date on what is going to be built and who is going to pay for it.

Supervisor Ornellas conveyed deepest condolences to the family of Chris Serpa.

Vice Chairman Mow stated that the Board needs an update report on the Blue Shield matter.  County Administrator Manuel Lopez stated that he would report to the Board in mid-June, however, in the meanwhile he would provide the Board with a memo bringing them up to date.
