Consent Item:                           #15 – Supervisor Gutierrez inquired about the County Budget Timetable and information provided to the Board prior to the Budget Hearings.  County Administrator Manuel Lopez stated that he would have information to the Board by May 23, 2006.  The Budget Hearings are scheduled for June 21 to June 23.  Chairman Marenco stated that he would like all five Board Members in attendance at the hearings.                                 Approved.  Sieglock/Gutierrez/5

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Ornellas advised the Board that there was a conflict in his meeting schedule as the Council of Governments and the Delta Protection Commission meet on the same day.  However, he would work it out.

Supervisor Gutierrez reported that he received a call from Congressman Cardoza’s office regarding the Medi-Cal Hospital Financing Waiver.

CLOSED SESSION

County Counsel Terrence Dermody announced that there was no Closed Session.

CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR

Recessed to 1:00 p.m. at San Joaquin Council of Governments Board Room (lst Floor), 555 E. Weber Avenue for a Joint Meeting of the Board of Supervisors and City of Stockton for discussion on Sewer and Water Services at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport Site.

 

1:00 p.m.  -  Joint Meeting of the Board of Supervisors and the City of Stockton for   discussion on Sewer and Water Services at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport Site.

                    Dwayne Milnes, Principal of City Gate Associates, Michael Wenzell, a Vice President with airport developer ProLogis, and Blue Shield’s Director Gig Codiga addressed the Board and Council Members.

        (Note:  Parking is available at the Council of Governments Regional Center directly behind building. There is additional parking available at Public Parking Lot K, located on American Street, just south of Weber Avenue.  Additional meter parking on Weber Avenue).

Following the Joint Meeting with the City Council, the Board recessed to meet in the Board Chambers.

2:55 p.m. – The Board convened and voted to add the matter of the Joint Meeting to the agenda.  Approved.  Gutierrez/Mow/5

The Board went into Closed Session and returned to the Chambers at 3:24 p.m. with nothing to report.  The Board recessed to Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 3:00 p.m..  Approved.  Gutierrez/Ornellas/5

FEBRUARY 22, 2006

3:03 p.m.          The Chairman announced the Board was back from recess and then went into Closed Session.  At 3:31 p.m. the Board returned from Closed Session and recessed sine die subject to the recall of the Chairman.  Approved.  Gutierrez/Mow/5
