PRESENTATIONS

9:00 a.m. -       bos - Proclamation Proclaiming February 12-18, 2006 as "Child Safety Passenger Week" in San Joaquin County.  Chairman Marenco presented the proclamation to Charles Hughes, Child Passenger Safety Technician and Instructor at Public Health Services.  Mr. Hughes addressed the Board.

Supervisor Sieglock inquired about the matter dealing with Environmental Health coming before the Board for discussion.

1.                  hcs - Oral Report: Update on the Implementation of the State Medi-Cal Hospital Payment Demonstration Project (Waiver) and its Effect on Cash Flow at San Joaquin General Hospital.  Director of Health Care Services Director Ken Cohen introduced newly hired Assistant Director of Health Care Services prior to giving an oral report.

Angel Picon representing SEIU addressed the Board regarding the need to increase the wages of Home Health Care Workers.

 

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

In response to Supervisor Sieglock, County Administrator Manuel Lopez stated that he would set up the Budget schedule to end on Thursday if the Board finished its business on the Budget that day.
