BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
TUESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2006
11:00 A.M.
11:05 a.m. – Chairman Gutierrez called the meeting
to order.
Roll Call:
Present were Supervisors Ornellas, Mow, Sieglock, Marenco and Gutierrez.
Chairman Gutierrez announced that prior to the
Reorganizational Meeting beginning, the Board needed to add the following
matter to the agenda for action:
Resolution Proclaiming Existence of a Local Emergency and Requesting
Governor to Proclaim (1) A State of Emergency; and (2) Request a Presidential
Declaration. Supervisor Sieglock made
the motion to add the item to the agenda and Supervisor Marenco seconded the
motion. Sieglock/Marenco/5
Director of Emergency Operations Ron Baldwin briefed
the Board on this matter. The Board
adopted the Resolution.

The Invocation was given by The Most Reverend
Stephen E. Blaire, Bishop of Stockton.
Chairman Gutierrez made final remarks and thanked
the
Supervisors Ornellas and Sieglock expressed their
appreciation to Chairman Gutierrez for his leadership and demeanor during his
chairmanship.
Election of Officers: Supervisor Ornellas made the motion to elect
Supervisor Marenco as Chairman and Supervisor Mow as Vice Chairman for
2006. Supervisor Sieglock seconded the

Newly-elected Chairman Marenco presented out-going
Chairman Gutierrez with a plaque on behalf of the Board.
Supervisor Gutierrez thanked his Legislative
Assistant Carlos Villapudua for all of his hard work and support.
Chairman Marenco gave final remarks and informed the
Board of the recent passing of Pat Beattie.
The Benediction was given by
The Most Reverend Stephen E. Blair, Bishop of Stockton.
The
meeting was adjourned to Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. for a Regular
Meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
