Consent Item: #4 - Supervisor Sieglock thanked staff and referred to a ‘Letter to the Editor” in today’s Lodi News Sentinel regarding Live Oak Road. Public Works Director Tom Flinn addressed the Board on this matter. Approved. Sieglock/Ornellas/5
Consent Item: #8 - Board Members brought up several issues and expressed concerns on this item. County Counsel Terrence Dermody stated that the only issue before the Board on this date was the annexation agreement. County Administrator Manuel Lopez also responded to concerns expressed by Board Members. PUBLIC COMMENT
Vincent Contino, Reverend Bob Hailey, Betty Sconyers
and Angel Picon addressed the Board regarding a wage increase for Home Care
Workers.
James Young addressed the Board regarding speeding of automobiles on the street where he resides.
Reverend Bob Hailey addressed the Board and recommended that an audit be conducted of Head Start. He also stated that employees of Head Start should be allowed to come before the Board to address the problems they experienced while working at Head Start.
ToCan Nguyen addressed the Board on various matters.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND
COMMENTS
Supervisor Sieglock expressed that he would like to see a management and
financial audit of Head Start.
Supervisor Sieglock suggested that instead of staff waiting around for a
particular Board item to be discussed, that arrangements be made available to
them so that they could conduct other business regarding their departments such
as making telephone calls, etc. County
Administrator Manuel Lopez stated that he would look into the matter. Supervisor Mow stated that he has offered
his office.
