BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Ornellas stated that on a recent trip to Pleasanton, via the lower Grant Line Road, he became aware of a golf course being constructed in Alameda County near the San Joaquin County border called Mountain House Golf Course.  He called Mountain House General Manager Paul Sensibaugh to inquire about this matter.  Supervisor Ornellas read the email communication he received from Mr. Sensibaugh that indicated he was not aware of the golf course. Ben Hulse, Director of Community Development Department, and his staff was unaware and had no knowledge of this project.  Mr. Hulse stated that his staff would look into the matter and report back to the Board.

Supervisor Gutierrez reported on a matter that he previously brought to the attention of the Board regarding his constituent, Louis Rubino, that had requested to build a temporary carport top structure over his driveway located in the Country Club area.  The County would have to grant him the use of the easement in front of the property.  Supervisor Gutierrez has been working and doing research with Community Development, Public Works, County Counsel and the County Administrator on this case.  Mr. Rubino will have to write a letter to the Board, requesting that the fee be waived in order  to go before the Planning Commission and ultimately could be heard by the Board.   Supervisor Gutierrez will ask Mr. Rubino to send the letter to the Chairman with a copy to him.  Chairman Sieglock stated that as soon as he receives the letter he will refer it to the Community Development Director.

Supervisor Mow reported on discussions by counties at the recent California State Association of Counties Annual Conference that he attended.
