Stephanie Batey, of SEIU,
addressed the Board regarding the tentative agreement with the County’s
bargaining team.
ToCan Nguyen addressed the Board regarding
various matters.
Reverend Bob Hailey
addressed the Board regarding the recent death of an inmate at the San Joaquin
County Jail and requested that this matter be looked into.
Tom Gau, Deputy Director, Public Works
Department, introduced Annette Borges, the new Integrated Waste Manager of the
Public Works Department, and she addressed the Board.

OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
Supervisor Mow inquired as
to whether or not any Board Member or other county staff knew of any county
plans to lower the flag or to hold a memorial in memory of the September 11
event. No one was aware of any such
plans.
Supervisor Gutierrez
stated that he had not heard from staff on the issue that was brought up at the
previous Board meeting regarding the his constituent who resides in the Country
Club area and who wants to place a temporary shade structure in front of his
garage.
