Roger Speed, Director of Health Care Services, and Steve Ebert, Chief Deputy Director, San Joaquin County General Hospital, addressed the Board on this matter.

The Board authorized the Director of Health Care Services to begin implementation of the Mitigation Plan for closure of the Health Beginnings Clinic – Public Health as of June 30, 2003. The Board further directed the Director of Health Care Services to develop and implement a strategic plan to improve neighborhood outreach efforts at the Central Valley Medical Clinic – Conway Homes, and report to the Board the effect of the outreach efforts in October 2003.
