Consent Items:                          10, 19 & 20 pulled for discussion by Supervisor Gutierrez.

 

#10 – Bill Mitchell, Director of Public Health clarified the minor changes in this item in response to questions by Supervisor Gutierrez.

 

#19 – Supervisor Gutierrez commented that he did not object to this trip, however, he had noted that in the information provided to the Board there was a planned activity unrelated to the purpose of the conference.  He stated that it is unnecessary to have these types of functions at conferences. 

 

 

                                               

 

#20 – Airport Director Barry Rondinella answered questions by Supervisor Gutierrez and Supervisor Ornellas regarding the airport lease agreement with Miner Joaquin Building Corporation.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Albert Mazzetti, representing Mr. and Mrs. Tony Rocha and Mr. Rudy Ayala addressed the Board regarding a zoning enforcement matter and requested that this matter be put on a future Board agenda.  Mr. Mezzetti distributed to the Board copies of a communication from him dated 12/1/02 addressed to Enforcement Officer Brenda McIntosh of the Community Development Department.  Supervisor Marenco asked County Counsel as to whether or not this is a matter the Board should be hearing.  County Counsel stated that he would research this matter.

Geogianna Reichelt addressed the Board and wanted to know what the county policy is for an individual wishing to be placed on the Board agenda and requested to be placed on a future agenda.

To Can Nguyen addressed the Board on various matters.

 

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENT

Supervisor Sieglock recognized Public Works staff member Candis Oldham for her outstanding efforts in arranging the groundbreaking for a Measure K County project in Woodbridge (Woodhaven/Chestnut Mokelumne Lane) held on April 14, 2003.

Supervisor Sieglock wished his wife a Happy Birthday.

Supervisor Gutierrez requested that the adjournment of the board meeting be in honor and in memory of Judge Sandra Smith who passed away this week.
