PUBLIC COMMENT
Robert Sarvey informed the Board that in Tracy on October 4 and October 8, is the last opportunity for anyone to comment on the East Altamont Energy Center and the proposed mitigation packages and the progress of the facilities itself. He distributed a handout to the Board Members that included a schedule of the workshops and a summary outlining the impacts to San Joaquin County and possible Board actions.
ToCan Nguyen addressed the Board on various matters.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
Supervisor Gutierrez recognized Nancy Patron, an employee of the EEDD Worknet, and commended her for her efforts at the Karl Holton Youth Correctional Drug & Alcohol Treatment Facility.
Supervisor Marenco commented on the handout distributed by Robert Sarvey. The County Administrator stated that the Boards position against East Altamont Energy Center has been relayed to the California Energy Commission on two separate occasions. The County is aware of the upcoming scheduled public informational meetings and if the Board desires, the CAO could have staff attend these meetings.
