#29 – Supervisor Sieglock commented that he
did not object to the salary provisions or the equity increase. However, he did have concerns about the
anti-management, anti-taxpayer provisions in the contract. He stated that the contract takes further
power away from management which ultimately decreases management's ability to
manage in terms of shop stewards and the amount of time employees are going to
spend on cases which will in the end cost the county more dollars. Approved
by a separate motion.

BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
Supervisor Gutierrez inquired about the status of his request two weeks ago for staff to look into the matter of the existing unsanitary condition of the public restroom in the Canlis Building. The CAO indicated that staff discussed the options available to resolve this matter but most likely the option will be to require additional service on a regular basis. He will have a response to the Board within a couple of weeks. Supervisor Gutierrez suggested that staff identify other areas that are heavily used by the public and that the additional required service be applied.
