BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS
Supervisor Gutierrez indicated he, along with other Board Members, received an unsigned letter regarding Service First of Northern California. He asked that the County Administrator look into the allegations outlined in the letter and report back to the Board.
In the recent decision of the court case involving the Office of Substance Abuse (OSA), Supervisor Gutierrez cited a Stockton Record news article that reported the allegations of former OSA personnel. Supervisor Gutierrez indicated that he would like to see if these allegations, including any actions taken by OSA, are part of the transcripts. Additionally, he recalled that the Counsel, Mr. Bassoff, was familiar from a past Board Meeting. However, he could not refer to any specifics. Therefore, Supervisor Gutierrez requested information regarding this matter and whether the county was going to appeal the decision.
Lastly, Supervisor Gutierrez stated that he is compiling a letter and will send it through the proper channels expressing that he is not going to support the appointment of anyone to the position of the Director of the Mary Graham Children’s Shelter until the issues of the shelter are addressed.
