DISCUSSION - GENERAL GOVERNMENT

1.                  cao - Adoption of 2002 Federal Legislative Platform and Policy Guidelines.  Trish Huarte-Pechan, Assistant County Administrator, addressed the Board.  Approved Staff Recommendations.  Gutierrez/Marenco/5  B-02-69  Supervisor Sieglock noted he was in support of the legislative platform, however, he was not in favor of the component regarding low income housing.

1.                  mtcsd - Request for Proposals to Provide Solid Waste Collection Services in the Mountain House Community.  Paul Sensibaugh, General Manager, Mountain House Commnity Services District, Dwane Milnes, City of Stockton, and John Stovall, addressed the Board on this mater.   Approved Recommendation to Authorize Sole-Source Negotiations for a New Permit with Tracy Delta Solid Waste Management Inc.,  for Providing Solid Waste Collection Services in the Mountain House Community, subject to the Scope of Services in the Recommended Request for Proposals Including Costs.  Marenco/Sieglock/5  B-02-70

Rob Sarvay addressed the Board regarding the Peaker Power Plant in Tracy, CA and power plant issues.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Chairman Mow made commented on  the State Budget and requested the County Administrator to keep the Board informed on any current changes and to allow time at the weekly Board Meetings to provide a overview and impacts of the State Budget.
