The pledge of allegiance was given by Marcus Patterson, student of Kennedy School, who was present with teacher Nicole Ackerman and other students in the audience observing the Board Meeting and County government.

Swearing in of Lynn Bedford as Supervisor for the 5th Supervisorial District.

The swearing-in of Lynn G. Bedford was administered by the Honorable Judge James E. Cadle. Supervisor Lynn G. Bedford made several comments and he introduced his wife Charlotte Bedford and family members who were present in the audience.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Barbara Bender addressed the Board regarding text amendment change of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code that would increase the number of goats and sheep to 12 per acre with per parcel limit of 30 for parcels less than 5 acres in a Agricultural Zoned area to be equal to that allowed for swine. The Board requested the County Administator and Jerry Herzick of Community Development Department to review this matter and report back to the Board at a future date with a recommendation.

Reverend William David Haley addressed the Board stating that he was pleased to see Supervisor Victor Mow on the Board and of the appointment of Supervisor Lynn G. Bedford.

Brett Williams addressed the Board regarding creating a website pertaining to information on the Geographic Information System (GIS) for the public on construction projects. Mr. Williams also addressed the Board on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad project.

 

 

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Sieglock discussed the Clements Fire District training exercises and the fire district requesting waiving the $50.00 fee on training exercises.. The Board requested that County Counsel review and report back to the Board at a later date the matter regarding the provision of the ordinance on the discretion to waive fees on training exercises.
