PUBLIC COMMENT

Irene Killian-Ojeda, member of Juvenile Justice Deliquency Prevention Commission, addressed the Board offering an invitation to the Board of Supervisors to attend the Annual Awards Banquet Dinner on October 6, 2000 at Micke Grove Park..

Georgianna Reichelt addressed the Board on various matters.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Supervisor Cabral discussed San Joaquin County Council of Governments regarding an Assembly Bill that was passed last year in balance with housing in San Joaquin County and Job Pilot projects. Supervisor Cabral also commented on the third commuter train negotiations and equipment are going through final testing stage.

Supervior Gutierrez commented and thanked the San Joaquin County Council of Governments for setting up a soundwall at Roosevelt Elementary School.

1:30 p.m. - labor rel - 4th Step Complaint - Diane Gartner. Judy Guerrero, Labor Relations Director, John Solis, Employment & Economic Development Department Director, Marcus Williams, Job Stewart, Ulysses Madison, Field Representative of SEIU, Diane Gartner, and Glenn Nellman, addressed the Board on this matter. The Board of Supervisors granted the complaint submitted by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 790, violation of Section 11.1, Employee Evaluation, for Diane Gartner and does hereby authorize the following:

#1 – Provide the complainant with pay increase of one step retroactive to January 11, 2000.

#2 – Reinstatement of 520 seniority hours lost as a result of the unsatisfactory evaluation.

#3 – The unsatisfactory evaluation to be totally rescinded.
