10:00 a.m. –osa – Presented Proclamation Designating June 1999 as "Alcohol and Drug Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Month" to Bill Isaacs, Chairman of the Advisory Board on Drug & Alcohol Programs.

10:00 a.m. – bos – Presented Commendation for Habitat for Humanity for their work in building homes in San Joaquin County to Ted Cole and Paul Vallone . Paul Vallone thanked the

Board and introduced John Christian and Pete Chadwick who were also present for this

matter.

10:00 a.m. - bos – Presented Plaque to Henry Hirata, Director of Public Works, in being Recognized as the "National Urban County Engineer of the Year" by the National Association of County Engineers.

10:00 a.m. – ag/comm – Public Hearing to Consider Amending Resolution R-95-593 to Increase

Dog Impound Fees. Scott Hudson, Agricultural Commissioner, briefed the Board on

this matter. Paul Lewis, of Animal Control, and ToCan Nguyen addressed the Board

regarding the relocation of the San Joaquin County Mental Health Services Facility.
