10:00 a.m. – bos – Presented Proclamation Designating March 1--7, 1999 as "National Weights & Measures Week" in San Joaquin County to Scott Hudson, Agricultural Commissioner.

Milton O’Hara, San Joaquin County Sealer, was also present for this matter.

10:00 a.m. – bos – Presented Commendation to Anne Ramacher, Retiring Board of Supervisors’ Secretary for her 31 Years of County Service. All Board members expressed their

gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Ramacher.

10:00 a.m. – hcs – Commendation to San Joaquin General Hospital Department of Physical

Medicine and Rehabilitation Three-Year Accreditation for "Medical Rehabilitation

Programs: Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs Hospital

(Adult)" Director Caroline Getchmer addressed the Board of Supervisors. Members

of the Management Team were also present for this item.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS

Chairman Cabral noted that there will be no Board of Supervisors’ Meeting on Tuesday, March 16, 1999; but there will be a Meeting on Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Also, there will be no Meeting on June 22, 1999.

Chairman Cabral and Supervisor Gutierrez discussed optional modes of transportation: rail & water.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Marcia Morena, San Joaquin County Arts Council Executive Director, introduced the new Gallery Manager, Ron Turner, who addressed the Board of Supervisors regarding an Ansel Adams Exhibit.
