NAME: TRACY PUBLIC CEMETERY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
COMPENSATION: None for meetings; actual & necessary expenses for out-of-town meetings.
LEGAL AUTHORITY: Chapter 6, Paragraph 8950 of the California Health & Safety Code.
MEMBERSHIP, QUALIFICATIONS, & RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS: The District shall be governed & managed by 3 or 5 Trustees, as specified in the Petition for Formation of the District. The trustees shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the County----, Paragraph 8951. The trustees shall be appointed from the electors residing within the district (i.e. Tracy Cemetery District - an area bounded by Alameda County on the west; Stanislaus County on the south; San Joaquin River on the east; & Old River on the north).
TERM: 4 Year Terms.
DUTIES: To govern & manage (through daily employed professional Cemeterian) the affairs of the District. They shall be guided by all laws & regulations set forth by the California Health & Safety Code as interpreted by the courts & by such regulations that are promulgated by the County Board of Supervisors.
MEETING DATE & LOCATION: 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m., Tracy Public Cemetery District Office, East Schulte Road at MacArthur Blvd., Tracy, CA.
