NAME: SAN JOAQUIN REGIONAL TRANSIT DISTRICT
COMPENSATION: $50.00 per meeting (Maximum of $l00.00 per month); Mileage to & from meetings; also necessary traveling expenses as authorized by the Board.
LEGAL AUTHORITY: Section 1, Part 5, Section 50,000 et al., Division 10, of the Public Utilities Code. Also 1991 Amendments; Senate Bill 791, #3, #4, & #5. SMART Resolutions #4056 & #4057 Dated 11/9/93.
MEMBERSHIP, QUALIFICATIONS, & RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS: Must be a resident of the District for at least 1 year. 5 Members - 2 Members appointed by the Stockton City Council; 2 Members appointed by the Board of Supervisors; 1 Member - Joint Appointment by the Board of Supervisors & 5 Members of the Stockton City Council. Chairperson: the Board annually in January selects 1 of its members to serve as Chairperson.
TERM: 4 Year Terms.
DUTIES: To establish policy & govern the District.
MEETING DATE & LOCATION: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m., at 1533 E. Lindsay Street, Stockton, CA.
