Agencies dealing with children
- C) 1 Representative from the Childrens Services
Department
- D) 1 Representative from the District Attorneys
Office
- E) 1 Representative from Mental Health Services
- F) 1 Representative from Law Enforcement
- G) 1 Representative from Juvenile Probation Department
- H) 1 Representative from the Pediatrics Profession
- I) 1 Representative from Education
TERM: 3 Year Terms.
DUTIES:
- 1. To provide a forum for interagency cooperation &
coordination in the prevention, detection, treatment,
& legal processing of Child Abuse cases.
- 2. To promote public awareness of the abuse & neglect
of children & the resources available for
intervention & treatment.
- 3. To encourage & facilitate the training of
professionals in the detection, treatment, &
prevention of child abuse & neglect.
- 4. To recommend improvements in services to families
& victims.
- 5. To encourage & facilitate community support for
child abuse & neglect programs.
- 6. To introduce & monitor legislation pertaining to
children.
- 7. To conduct needs assessments & identify gaps in
services
- 8. To spearhead community education on the needs of
children.
- 9. To make recommendations on the allocation of AB 2994
& AB 1733 funds.
MEETING DATE & LOCATION: 1st Thursday of each month
at 2:00 p.m., County Office of Education, 2901 Arch/Airport Way,
Stockton, CA.
