NAME: AVIATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
COMPENSATION: Members shall serve without compensation, provided; however, upon advance approval of the Board of Supervisors, necessary expenses incurred by the members shall be paid.
LEGAL AUTHORITY: Resolution R-77-1689 dated 9/20/77; Resolution R-91-129 dated 2191991; & Board Order #B-96-1356 dated 12/10/96.
MEMBERSHIP, QUALIFICATIONS, & RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS:0 Members: 5 - 1 from each Supervisorial District 2 Members of the Board of Supervisors to serve as Ex-Officio 1 Ex-Officio General Member 1 Former Member of Committee to serve as Ex-Officio General Member 2 - At-Large Public Members
TERM: 3 Year Terms (initial terms to be staggered & determined by lot: 2 for 1 year, 2 for 2 years, & 3 for 3 years.
DUTIES: To provide for citizen input in the policy areas of developing aviation & aviation-related (including the Airport Industrial Park) planning objectives along with the implementation of these objectives in the best interests of the County of San Joaquin.
MEETING DATE & LOCATION: 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Department of Aviation Conference Room, Stockton, CA.
