2009-10 Secured Tax Bill Information
Property Taxes Due
Shabbir A. Khan, San Joaquin County Treasurer & Tax Collector, reminds property owners that the 2009-2010 property taxes are due and payable on November 1, 2009. The first installment becomes delinquent after December 10, 2009, and the second installment becomes delinquent after April 10, 2010. However, both installments may be paid when the first installment is due. If first installment taxes are not paid by Wednesday, December 10, 2009 at 5:00 pm, a 10% penalty will be added. If second installment taxes are not paid by April 12, 2010 at 5:00 pm, a 10% penalty and $10.00 cost will be added. The second installment due date is changed this year because April 10, 2010 falls on a Saturday.
Mr. Khan states that the payments sent by mail with a postmark of December 10, 2009, or earlier, will be accepted as timely.
