Micke Grove Regional Park (click here for map)
Micke Grove Japanese GardenA gem with plenty of amenities, this 258-acre oak tree park features Micke Grove Zoo, (click here for more info); the Japanese Garden, a favorite wedding spot with Cherry Blossom treFunderwoods Amusement Parkes, Tea Pavilion and Koi pond; rental facilities with outdoor picnic shelters and indoor facilities for receptions, family reunions and corporate events; Fun Town at Micke Grove Amusement Park, offering fun-filled rides, delicious treats and party packages; the San Joaquin Historical Museum; softball fields and children’s playgrounds.

Micke Grove Zoo (click for website!)
Osa, the Snow Leopard Micke Grove Zoo is home to native animals and exotic species from all over the world, including several endangered species, such as the Chinese Alligator, the Snow Leopard and the Cotton Top Tamarin.
Exhibits include the Tropical ForestSea Lions Canopy with its Rodrigues Fruit Bats, Paseo Pantera – Path of the Mountain Lion and the Island Lost In Time featuring lemurs, parrots and radiated tortoises from Madagascar.
The Micke Grove Zoological Society, a membership organization, assists with the education program and fundraising for zoo improvements.

Oak Grove Regional Park (click here for map)
Paddleboats at Oak GroveThis 180-acre park situated in a beautiful oak-forest setting has features the whole family will enjoy, including: Oak Grove Lake, a 10-acre lake perfect not only for fishing seasonal Catfish or Trout but sightseeing in one of our Paddleboats; Oaks Nature Center, offering educational programs anDisc Golfing at Oak Groved exhibits detailing the many flora and fauna native to San Joaquin County; nature trails with a 1.5 mile walk among old grove trees plus a ¼ mile handicapped accessible trail; rental facilities offering the indoor Boat House plus outdoor picnic shelters for everything from picnics and family reunions to corporate events; an 18-hole disc golf course, children’s playgrounds and a youth campground available for youth group camping.

Fishing: 16+ years: $3 (with valid California Fishing License), 15 and under: Free.

Oak Grove Nature Center (Click here for the website)
The Oak Nature Center is located near the entrance to Oak Grove Regional Park. It hosts displays of the native peoples and wildlife that once (some still do) inhabited the region.
 



Location: 4520 W. Eight Mile Rd., Stockton (Directly east of I-5 at Eight Mile Rd.). Click here for a location map.

Hours: Open weekends 12 noon to 4 p.m. Weekdays by appointment.

Dos Reis Regional Park
Dos Reis Regional ParkTucked in along the San Joaquin River, Dos Reis features 26 R.V. campsites with full hook-ups and shower facilities. Tent camping is also available from 12 noon Friday through 8 a.m. Monday and holidays. Boat launching is available, along with picnic tables, barbecues, horseshoe pits and a children’s play area.

Location: 890 W. Dos Reis Rd., Lathrop (Off Interstate 5 just west of Lathrop). Click here for a location map.

Hours: Day use area open from sunrise to sunset.

Cost:   
Park: Vehicle entry fees are $3 weekdays, $5 weekends and county-recognized holidays. Vehicles over 22 ft. in length are $10.
Camping: Site fee: $20/night; second vehicle: $5; pets: $1. (Reservations must be made and paid at least two weeks prior to arrival date but can be made up to one year to the date in advance by calling the Parks office at (209) 953-8800 or 331-7400).

Westgate Landing Regional Park
Once used for docking of mail goods to Delta workers, Westgate Landing (located on the Mokelumne River), boasts 14 R.V./tent campsites (no hook-ups available), a fishing pier, overnight boat docking, picnic sites and ½ mile of river frontage.

Hours: Day use area open from sunrise to sunset.

Harmony Grove Church
Harmony Grove ChurchBuilt in 1859, this historic church stands on the site of one of  San Joaquin County’s oldest communities, Staples Ferry (now kInterior of Harmony Grove Churchnown as Lockeford). Featuring beautiful wood pews, gorgeous glass windows and old world charm, the church seats 100 guests and is a wonderful setting for weddings, meetings or religious services of any denomination.

Regional Sports Complex
Softball diamond of Regional Sports ComplexServiced jointly by the City of Stockton and San Joaquin County, the Regional Sports Complex offers a four-field softball complex (complete with public address system and score board), four soccer fields, concession stands and picnic shelter.

Other Regional Parks

Mossdale Crossing Regional Park
Mossdale Crossing Regional ParkA large, two-lane boat ramp with floating dock is the striking feature of this park, located between Tracy and Manteca off I-5. Mossdale's ramp offers access to the San Joaquin, Middle and Old Rivers. Shaded picnic areas and a children’s playground complete the facility.

Stillman Magee Regional Park
Stillman Magee Regional ParkOffering the last public access to the Mokelumne River before the city of Lodi, Stillman Magee features water rafting and swimming, picnic tables, barbecues and fishing at the river's edge.

Woodbridge Wilderness Area
Woodbridge Regional ParkProviding 1/4 mile of Mokelumne River frontage, this park is accessible from River Meadows Drive in Woodbridge. This natural area features a riparian environment where fishing enthusiasts catch Trout, Black Bass and Catfish.
