  • Tobacco Free Families - Free smoking cessation services for pregnant women or partners; persons living with or caring for a child birth to 5 years of age. English, Spanish, and Hmong language classes; English counseling and hypnosis.

  • Smoking and Tobacco Outreach Prevention Project - Community activities to reduce exposure to second hand smoke, counter pro-tobacco influences from advertising and prevent youth access to tobacco. A local advisory coalition meets bi-monthly.

Nutrition Education and Physical Activity

Nutrition education and presentations at community centers, health fairs and community events. A local Nutrition and Physical Activity Coalition addressing County-wide needs of adults and youth meets bi-monthly.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention

  • Information and Education Services - Training for personnel working with youth to improve staff-youth communication skills, knowledge regarding teen pregnancy and local reproductive health resources. For upcoming training:

Diabetes Risk Reduction

Education and support group services for adults with type 2 diabetes in South Stockton. Services available from Gemini, Inc. and Senior Services Agency of San Joaquin. For information and referrals:

Dental Disease Prevention

Classroom-based dental education, tooth brushing and fluoride supplements for elementary and preschool children. Sealant services for eligible elementary school students.
