Vector Control

The purpose of this program is to reduce vector nuisance complaints and the potential health threat of flies, cockroaches or other vectors associated with human disease. Annual inspections are conducted at egg-laying poultry ranches with over 12,000 birds and at animal kennels located in the unincorporated areas of the county.

Authority: Ordinance Code of San Joaquin County Section 5-2300 through 5-2401.
Funding: Annual Operating Permit Fees, Hourly Rate and Service Fees.
Clients/Customers: Poultry and Kennel Owners/Operators, General Public.
Workload: 21 active Poultry Ranches, 25 active Kennel Facilities.
