Hotel and Motel Inspections

This program is established to ensure compliance with State Housing Law requirements related to use, occupancy, sanitation and environmental factors influencing the health and safety of all residents and visitors. Annual and complaint inspections are conducted at hotel and motel facilities located throughout the county.

Authority: State Housing Law, California Health & Safety Code Section 17910, et. seq.; Title 25, CCR, Sections 32-46; Title 17, CCR, Sections 30852-30858; California Health and Safety Code Section 17961; Stockton Municipal Code Section 7-111.1(h).
Funding: Annual Operating Permit Fees, Hourly Rate and Service Fees.
Clients/Customers: Tenants, Business Owners/Operators.
Workload: 105 active Facilities.
