County Administrator - Manuel Lopez
Manuel Lopez
County Administrator

The County Administrator assists the Board of Supervisors to develop long-range policies to serve the County's 650,000 residents. Such policies are then implemented through various County departments. Working with 26 Department Heads, he is responsible to ensure all County operations run efficiently and effectively. The County Administrator works particularly close with the Human Resources and Labor Relations directors to maintain a relationship with various unions and associations that represent the County's 6,000 plus employees. As an adjunct to other functions, the County Administrator provides guidance to the County's Head Start Program as well as the First 5 Program which provides services to pre-school children, primarily through community-based, nonprofit organizations.
