NAME: HOUSING APPEALS BOARD
COMPENSATION: $25.00 per diem, mileage & actual & necessary expenses.
LEGAL AUTHORITY: Ordinance #3649 dated 3/25/92.
MEMBERSHIP, QUALIFICATIONS,& RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS: 5 Members appointed by the Board of Supervisors (1 from each Supervisorial District).
TERM: The Members first appointed serve for the following terms: 1 for a 1 year term; 1 for a 2 year term; 1 for a 3 year term; & 2 for 4 year terms. Thereafter, members shall be appointed for 4 year terms, except that in the event of a vacancy, the new Appointee shall serve for the unexpired term to which the replacement member is appointed. All terms expire December 31st.
DUTIES: This Board hears appeals & proposed enforcement actionsrelated to the Housing & Nuisance Abatement Code.
MEETING DATE & LOCATION: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., Planning Commission Auditorium, 1601 E. Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, CA.
