NAME: COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTION COMMITTEE (CEDAC)

COMPENSATION: None.

LEGAL AUTHORITY: U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Adminis- tration Directive 7.06 & Public Works & Economic Development Act of 1965.

MEMBERSHIP, QUALIFICATIONS, & RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS: 22 Members. The Committee must represent diverse interests to ensure that viewpoints of all components of the community are ensure that& to take advantage of local skills in program formulation & implementation. Composition should include representatives of local governments, business, industry, finance, agriculture, the professions, organized labor, utilities, education, community organizations, public health agencies, the unemployed, ethnic minorities, & women. Committee members should also possess knowledge of the business & economic situation of San Joaquin County.

TERM: Indefinite.

DUTIES: To oversee the Overall Economic Development Program (OEDP) Process & approve & recommend approval to the Board of Supervisors of the OEDP for San Joaquin County. Revisions of the basic OEDP are required every 5 years with a brief annual report required for intervening years. The CEDAC will review & approve revisions of the OEDP & the annual OEDP report with final approval by the Board of Supervisors.

MEETING DATE & LOCATION: Meetings are called by the Chairperson as required at 814 N. Hunter Street, Stockton, CA.
