Allegiant Air to Serve Las Vegas!

    Allegiant Air - inflight

June 16, 2006 marked the inaugural flight of Stockton Metro's newest travel partner, Allegiant Air. The Las Vegas-based airline has made a name for itself by focusing on affordable travel between non-hub markets and two of the country's most popular vacation destinations - Las Vegas and Orlando, Florida. With several flights weekly, Allegiant Air is a very attractive travel alternative to high-fare, congested gateways in the region.

The Stockton Metropolitan Airport is located on the Southern boundary of the city of Stockton in the heart of California's central valley. The Airport is conveniently located between two major north-south thoroughfares; Interstate 5, 1.5 miles to the West, and State Highway 99, which borders the airport on the East side, view map.  Situated on 1,449 acres of land, the Stockton Metropolitan Airport has an 8,650-foot long, 150-foot wide primary ILS runway, with a take-off distance available of 11,037 feet.  The Stockton Metropolitan Airport also has a 4,458-foot long, 75-foot wide general aviation runway.  Six air carrier gates adjoin the 44,355 square-foot terminal building.  Airport Administration recently implemented a $5.00 per night parking fee for all vehicles utilizing on-site parking facilities.  For additional information, see our Airport Services page.

The County Aviation Advisory Committee (CAAC) meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in the Airport Conference Room #202.  The committee serves to provide for citizen input in the policy areas of developing aviation and aviation-related (including the Airport Industrial Park - Airpark 599 project) planning objectives along with the implementation of these objectives in the best interest of the County of San Joaquin.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings.
